Increasing Falah: The Role of Sharia Economics in Increasing the Income and Welfare of Secondary Crop Farmers in Pidie

Simpang Tiga District is one of the centers for secondary crop agriculture. The secondary crop farming business is carried out by household farmers, making it a source of livelihood to obtain additional income. However, the welfare of secondary crop farmers in general is still not prosperous. This research aims to determine the income and welfare of secondary crop farmers in an Islamic economy and the obstacles they face. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, 13 informants, namely secondary crop farmers. The research results show that the income of secondary crop farmers is only sufficient for their daily needs so they cannot be said to be economically prosperous. Meanwhile, from a sharia economic perspective, secondary crop farmers have achieved prosperity by maintaining important aspects of sharia such as protecting religion, protecting the soul, protecting the mind, protecting property and protecting offspring. Some of the obstacles faced by secondary crop farmers are pests, waterlogging, superior seeds and gaming on crop prices
